(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천창조경제혁신센터가 인천 소재 스포츠 하이라이트 영상 제작 및 사회공헌사업 기업 ㈜스포잇(대표 권정혁, 이하 스포잇)에 투자를 진행했다.

스포잇은 인천 유나이티드 FC 및 국가대표 골키퍼 출신인 권정혁 대표가 창업한 기업으로, 직영 풋볼센터를 운영하며 축적된 영상 데이터와 노하우를 바탕으로 프로축구 선수의 이적이나 중고등학교 학생들의 입시 및 진학을 위한 하이라이트 영상을 제작하는 플랫폼을 개발하고 있다.

과거에는 선수 개인 프로필 및 실제 경기 영상을 바탕으로 동영상 포트폴리오를 제작해주는 서비스를 제공했지만, 시간과 비용 대비 고객 요구에 부응하기 어려운 점에 착안하여 현재 반자동화 영상 트래킹을 활용한 영상제작 기술을 개발 중에 있으며, 축구분야의 전문성을 보유한만큼 선수들의 장점과 특징을 살려낼 수 있다는 것이 강점이다.

 
반자동화 영상 트래킹 기술은 편집자가 전체 경기영상을 보면서 수작업으로 특정 선수의 하이라이트를 뽑아내던 기존 방식과 달리, AI기술을 통해 선수들의 움직임을 트래킹하여 특정 선수의 영상을 자동으로 추출할 수 있는 기술로 콘텐츠 디렉터들의 제작소요 시간과 비용을 4분의 1 가량 줄일 수 있어 스포츠 영상 포트폴리오 시장의 문제점을 해결해줄 수 있다.

스포잇측은 추후 해당 기술의 개발이 완료되면 경기 영상에서 선수별 하이라이트 영상이 자동 추출과 편집 과정을 통해 선수들에게 제공되며, 프리미엄 서비스를 이용하는 경우 전문 편집자의 보정을 통해 영상미가 높은 포트폴리오 제공도 가능하다고 밝혔다.

이와 더불어 프로선수들의 아마추어 시절의 영상과 유망주들의 영상 등 IP를 확보하여 중요 장면을 숏폼(Short-Form) 콘텐츠로 가공 후 유튜브 및 인스타그램 마케팅을 통해 소비자들의 좋은 반응을 이끌어내고 있다. 

뿐만 아니라, CSR 전문 브랜드 ‘스포에이드’를 통해 전문화된 스포츠 사회공헌 활동을 기획하고, 사회적 문제를 해결하고자 하는 공로를 인정받아 작년 9월 사회적기업 인증을 받았으며, 최근에는 연수구 자원봉사센터와 MOU 체결과 더불어 연수구 사회적경제지원센터 프로그램 참여를 통해 연수지역의 사회공헌에 이바지하고 있다. 

스포잇은 인천지역 창업지원기관에서 운영하는 초기창업패키지 지원사업 및 스포츠산업 창업도약 지원 사업에 선정되는 등 성장 잠재력과 사회 문제 해결을 위한 노력 등을 인정받아 투자유치에 성공하였다. 인천창조경제혁신센터 관계자는 “다양한 사회문제를 해결하고자 하는 인천지역의 스포츠 관련 대표 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 센터에서 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 밝혔다.

In the past, we provided a service to create a video portfolio based on player personal profiles and actual game videos, but we are currently developing video production technology using semi-automated video tracking based on the fact that it is difficult to meet customer needs in terms of time and cost. Its strength is that it can bring out the strengths and characteristics of players as long as they have expertise in the field of soccer.

 
The semi-automated video tracking technology is a technology that can automatically extract the video of a specific player by tracking the movement of the players through AI technology, unlike the existing method in which the editor manually extracts the highlights of a specific player while watching the entire game video. It can reduce the production time and cost of content directors by a quarter, thereby solving the problems of the sports video portfolio market.

Spoitte succeeded in attracting investment by being recognized for its growth potential and efforts to solve social problems, such as being selected for the early start-up package support project and the sports industry start-up support project operated by the Incheon area start-up support organization.
